Silicone implant is a type of breast implant where the silicone to be inserted with gel.
The dense and soft silicone implant has a natural look and it stays in its place. The leakage of silicone implants is harder to detect. If a patient already had a silicone implant earlier then she has to go through the entire procedure once again.
One disadvantage of silicone implant is that it requires a bigger incision as the gel is prefilled. Thus it leaves behind bigger scar than saline implants.
